Podcast Topic
Normally, Byte-Sized Virtue would straddle the Easter weekend, with episodes beginning during the liturgical season of Lent and ending some time before Pentecost. This year, things are off to a late start, unfortunately.
For this season, WtF Dragon is joined again by Chlorthos Dragon, and they are discussing not any one of the Eight Virtues in particular, but the various questions posed by the Gypsy during the character creation sequences in some of the Ultima games. Building off of a previously-covered concept called Unity of Virtue, they’ll analyze roughly one question per episode, picking it apart and — more often than not — noting that what is presented as a conflict between two of the Virtues is, in fact, not a conflict at all.
This week, the question being covered is:
After 20 years thou hast found the slayer of thy best friends. The villain proves to be a man who provides the sole support for a young girl. Dost thou:
– Spare him for the girl
– Slay him
Virtue questions are being read from TK421.net’s Ultima page.
