Could it be that this community of fans remains as strong as it does today in no small part because, in addition to having a foundational narrative, it also has the Virtues — an ethical system that is certainly compatible with the tenets of the various religious faiths represented amongst the Ultima Dragons, but also used by many non-religious Dragons as a defining moral system all its own — and that this combination binds them together in ways that far exceed what merely enjoying the same series of games would, alone and by itself, permit?
