Podcast Topic(s)
This episode begins as a discussion about the news that both the Famicom — what we in North America know as the Nintendo Entertainment System — and The Legend of Zelda both celebrated their 33rd anniversary just recently (and which involves no small amount of surprise at the fact that the Famicom had a floppy disk drive as a peripheral) becomes, at some point, a discussion about Ultima, and then about some of the lore fiction written for Ultima Online…in particular, this piece, and also this one.
Another fairly typical, ranging episode, in other words.

Who knew there was a floppy disk drive for the Famicom system (which is what the Nintendo Entertainment System was named in Japan)?
Actually, what celebrated 33 years was the Famicom Disk System, that is, the floppy drive peripheral, and it was released at the same time as Legend of Zelda
Duly noted. Thanks for the correction.
