Another episode in which Withstand the Fury Dragon is entirely absent — albeit he was able to lurk much of the conversation, at least. Harmony Dragon and Gallara Dragon (Cran) discuss Scrabble, the runic language in the Ultima games and the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, and the alien language in Tabula Rasa. Also, Wheel of Fortune comes up in discussion for a bit, for some reason.
The discussion then circles back to the earlier Ultima games for a bit, as Harmony and Gallara get into some of the negative feedback Richard Garriott received about Ultima 3, how this affected him, and how it led to the creation of Ultima 4. Also discussed are retcons in later Ultima games, and the establishment of a coherent narrative in the series (if that ever really happened).
Spoilers, the Harry Potter series, the Lord of the Rings series, and the differences between books and their film adaptations also come up, and the discussion more or less ends with some comments on Dragonriders of Pern, and treating novels as products of their time rather than viewing them solely through a modern lens.
