This is a very hastily-recorded, hastily-edited episode that was supposed to be about how ex-Origin Systems figures have not done very well absent the oversight of a publisher. We had planned to look at Kickstarter-funded projects like Shroud of the Avatar, Underworld Ascendant, and Star Citizen, and discuss the many and varied ways in which these had fallen short of their initial promise.
And instead, we talked about anything but that. A brief summary of topics includes:
- Despicable Me
- The challenges of being a GM/DM for Dungeons & Dragons, and the ways in which players foil or circumvent the best-laid plans of the people running their games
- HuniePop
- Nudity on Twitch; what’s okay, and what isn’t
- We did actually discuss the above-mentioned titles ever so briefly right around the middle of the episode…
- Mighty No. 9 and why it was just not good
- 20xx, and its pending sequel 30xx, which is evidently a very worthwhile fusion of Mega Man with roguelike mechanics
