This episode is mostly off the cuff, so the show notes aren’t as comprehensive.
This is actually the second version of Episode 24 that has been recorded. The first Episode 24 featured an hour-long discussion between Joe Garrity and WtF Dragon about the perils and pitfalls of crowdfunding. However, one of the projects discussed in the episode has…let’s just say I elected to remove all references to it from the Ultima Codex in response to a threat of legal action. Which is itself a pity, doubly so because it meant scrubbing the podcast episode entirely. I suppose it means, though, that I’ll have to invite Joe back at some point.
In this episode, we are joined by Helgraf Dragon, a member of the Ultima Dragons Internet Chapter, and a long-time Ultima fan (to wit: he played through Ultima 3 through 6 on the Commodore 64…yes, he’s one of those that endured the heartache and struggle that was the Commodore port of Ultima 6). And he has a particularly freaky avatar that he uses online, which (to my eyes) looks like a Gargoyle from, perhaps, Ultima X: Odyssey; Gargoyles in Ultima lore have traditionally been depicted with rather skull-like faces.
