Podcast Topic(s)
What is a Kickstarter/crowdfunding pledge? What does it entitle the pledge-giver to, and what relationship does it establish between the pledge-giver and the developer accepting the pledge? Is it simply a donation, to which one can only attach some very minimal expectations? Is it an investment, entitling each pledging backer to a say in the development of the game, and conferring on them the right to demand an accounting?
Joe Garrity, of the Origin Museum, joins Spam Spam Spam Humbug to discuss the matter. Both he and I tend toward the former understanding, just for the record.
